This two day, 16-hour course has been designed to provide officers with the opportunity to practice and perform the active threat response skill sets necessary to accomplish the Rapid Deployment / MACTAC Missions. The focus of this program will be to provide officers with the knowledge and specialized tactical skills they will need to improve and enhance their active threat response capabilities beyond the basic level. The class is a primary firearms skills course and is specifically designed to build on the skills and knowledge officers currently have. Officers attending the course should possess fundamental firearms handling and employment skills as well as be proficient at performing active threat response tactics and techniques.          

GOALS & OBJECTIVES:

  • Enhance the officer’s ability to perform Tactical Live Fire techniques and tactics

  • Enhance the officer’s ability to perform all tactical maneuver skill sets necessary to perform the Active Threat mitigation mission
  • To allow students the opportunity to participate in realistic live fire scenarios that will enhance their capabilities to respond to Active Threat situations.

COURSE PREREQUISITES: Be proficient in performing Active Threat response protocols, techniques and tactics. Be proficient and familiar with the fundamental operation of the duty pistol and police tactical rifle.

Ammunition Requirement: 500 Rds. Pistol / 500 Rds. Rifle

(Ammo requirements are minimums, more is preferred)
