This two day, 16-hour course has been designed to provide officers with the opportunity to practice and perform firearms skill sets necessary to accomplish the active threat Missions. The focus of this program will be to provide officers with the knowledge and specialized tactical skills they will need to improve and enhance their active threat response capabilities beyond the basic level. The class is an advanced firearms skills course and is specifically designed to build on the skills from the Tactical Rifle/Pistol course. Officers attending the course should possess fundamental firearms handling and employment skills as well as be proficient at performing active threat response tactics and techniques in dynamic environments.     

GOALS & OBJECTIVES:

Enhance the officer’s ability to perform Tactical Live Fire techniques and tactics.
Establish a working road map to improve firearms skills proficiencies.
Allow students the opportunity to participate in realistic live fire scenarios that will enhance their capabilities to respond to Active Threat situations.

COURSE PREREQUISITES: 

Have completed the 2-day tactical rifle/pistol course. Be proficient in performing Active Threat response protocols, techniques and tactics. Be capable of the safe operation of the pistol & tactical rifle in a dynamic environment.

Ammunition Requirement: 750 Rds. Pistol / 750 Rds. Rifle

(Ammo requirements are minimums, more is preferred)
